Virtual Pet Rat

What is a virtual pet? It is a pretend pet that is available on the Internet or as a computer game or an electronic toy.

Over the years, there have been fads such as Pet Rocks (ask your parents) and then the Tamagotchi’s electronic pet (ask a teenager). There is software available to have a virtual buddy on your computer. Some pet buddies on the computer can be a nuisance by talking all the time. Some virtual pets can be fun and educational.
