Is probiotic yoghurt good for rats?

Is probiotic yoghurt good for rat tummies? Should I give them a wee bit every day? I have heard differing opinions but my vet always says to give Damson (& many rats in the past) her chest medicine in yoghurt

Live culture yoghurt is great for rats, but not in huge quantities. Spread some thinly on a piece of wholemeal bread. The live culture replaces the good bacteria which is diminished by antibiotics and some foods. The live culture bacteria aids digestion so it can process all nutrition at optimal levels, so a rat won't lose weight unecessarily. Old rats to young growing ratlets all benefit from the live yoghurt. It's good stuff.
